Check your IP address ifconfig -a
Then check your /etc/hosts file to see if you have matching host entry for your IP and a matching "127.0.0.1 Localhost" entry. If default config, all should point to 127.0.0.1 (Localhost) which should also be in your /etc/hosts file. Additionally if you are using different DNS server check you dom path search order in /etc/resolv.conf If all looks good there, double check the device configuration for zenons in zenoss. Lastly click on the MESSAGES (Configuration menu-Left had frame last link), then click the down facing arrow to the left of the "EDIT" tab. 1. Refresh event schema 2. Clear event cache 3.
