Check your IP address

ifconfig -a

Then check your /etc/hosts file to see if you have matching host entry for your
IP and a matching "127.0.0.1 Localhost" entry.

If default config, all should point to 127.0.0.1 (Localhost) which should also
be in your /etc/hosts file. Additionally if you are using different DNS server
check you dom path search order in /etc/resolv.conf

If all looks good there, double check the device configuration for zenons in
zenoss.

Lastly click on the MESSAGES (Configuration menu-Left had frame last link),
then click the down facing arrow to the left of the "EDIT" tab. 1. Refresh
event schema 2. Clear event cache 3. Clear all heartbeats
