...and yes, you are correct that you will need to follow the necessary upgrade
path, read the latest Zenoss install guide (

This is why it's important to update regularly.
This can also cause a usability issue for you in the sense that some options
which you are used to may have been removed or modified. There may also be new
options that have been around for quite a while but which you are not yet
accustomed to.
