For large numbers of devices, you should probably consider the sizing 
and tuning information for Zenoss. There isn't any official guide, just 
some forum threads, linked from here:

You might also have to consider where Zenoss is lagging - look at logs 
and such. You might need to try using more ZenHubWorkers:

And perhaps even distributed collectors:

Again, figuring out what is slowing down exactly (is it Memory, Disk 
I/O, CPU ...) will help community members provide suggestions.
