You definitely don't want to use the stackinstaller as it has it's own mysql server running on port 3307. I guess the best way would be to install it with the rpm's as jmp242 suggested. Worked fine for me.
Note that you might need to remove the mysql root password. I'm not sure this is the case but in the past I know this was required.
