I just discovered a partial answer to include here. Page 42 of this PDF http://www.zenoss.com/Members/jcurry/zenoss_event_management_paper.pdf/view says:
> ...at transform time, most of the standard event fields are available, except those populated at database insertions time > > (evid, stateChange, dedupid, eventState, count, eventClassMapping â and the firstTime and lastTime fields will be the same).  Any user > defined fields created by the Regex are also available.
