I've seen lots of allusions to the following problems but one of the fixes (editing zentrap.py) isn't possible any longer and the problem was supposed to have been fixed in 2.3.x.
Anyway, we have some older Alteons (load balancers) with mibs that I finally got to load (reading docs helps!) with many trap oids in the mib of the form: 1.3.6.1.4.1.1872.2.1.13.0.1 through 1.3.6.1.4.1.1872.2.1.13.0.20 However, when the traps come in from the device they're of the form: 1.3.6.1.4.1.1872.2.1.13.1 through 1.3.6.1.4.1.1872.2.1.13.20 (note the missing zeros). And I get the generic event: snmp trap 1.3.6.1.4.1.1872.2.1.13.19 (for example) These were decoded correctly in HP Openview NNM which we're migrating away from.
