Hi Guys I've tried twice to install a Zentyal virtual machine (2.0 - 32bit) on two different Ubuntu 10.04 KVM (64bit) hosts. The installation process completes without problems, but when I start the machine after installation I get issues.
The virtual machine seems to boot normally but when the Web browser opens it simply slides down off the screen while the screen flickers. The panel at the bottom of the screen then continues to flicker. It basically renders the desktop useless. To stop this I had to switch to a virtual console and kill FireFox. When I returned to the GUI the desktop appeared normal, but whenever I tried to open an application (e.g. firefox, terminal, etc), the same thing occurred and I had to apply the same fix. Hoping that an upgrade would fix the problem I tried to update the system from a virtual console with "sudo aptitude safe-upgrade". The upgrade went well until it tried to upgrade ebox. I get the following output... Setting up eBox (2.0.2) ... * Stopping Zentyal module: Apache [ OK ] * Restarting Zentyal module: Apache [ OK ] /var/lib/dpkg/info/ebox.postinst: line 212: kill: (18072) - No such process Then the system hangs! Rebooting then fails. On reboot I get... udevadm trigger is not permitted while udev is unconfigured Gave up waiting for root device... ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/ee87f850.... does not exist. Dropping to a shell! .... (initramfs) Has anybody else seen this problem? Any ideas how to fix it?
