I had configured Zentyal to operate as a secondary DC in an existing network. It was doing well until Patch Tuesday, when an errant MS patch updated the server and forced a reboot before permitting the VM to shut down that was running Zentyal and a few other systems that managed to recover. Now, users are no longer visible and authentication is impossible. The main error I see is "zentyal "FATAL: Could not connect to samba LDAP server: connect: Connection refused". Even in the DNS tab.
Any suggestions on which logs to parse or tests to diagnose the issue? The distro is still a bit new here, I'm conversant with general Linux issues, but in a blended system like Zentyal, some things are a bit different.
