Indeed. And I can confirm that it also works in my "real world" personal 
project where it all began. Awesome.

Something I also noticed just before rebooting is that I had quite a bunch of 
zombie processes of my test scripts sticking around, test script that I use to 
send test ZMQ messages and that I often have to kill because something is going 
wrong, so my guess is that these processes were still holding up some resources 
and buffer space which caused the exhaustion and triggered the assertion.
