Yeah, well at least I've seen it with XREPs going to different types,
primarily when there's a local control channel over IPC and other stuff
going over tcp. There is scope for bindings to provide different interfaces
though, for example have the socket constructor take HWM as an argument or
similar (though it should probably encourage setting a LWM as well, which is
somewhat underused afaics).
