You can try, whether it works or not is another issue as not everyone has IPv4 multicast enabled. It's more likely to work in IPv6 but you may need to work on the hop limit socket option. It's on my TODO list to configure a public demo. By design PGM isn't a secure protocol and can be easily subject to DoS. -- Steve-o
