IIRC, this is part of the DBus-in-kernel saga. What's important is that it shows that there a real need for messaging on kernel level. From my perspective, it would be nice to have a ZeroMQ-like one in the Linux kernel. There's an initial implementation here: https://github.com/250bpm/linux/tree/sp-linux However, more work would be needed to make it fully functional and eventually get it into mainline kernel.
