Oops, let me fix some obvious problems in the pseudo-code.

rc = zmq_bind(socket, "inproc://some_address");
assert(rc == 0);

rc = zmq_unbind(socket, "inproc://some_address");
assert(rc == 0); // zmq_errno returns ENOENT on OSX
