Can you try building the *libpgm *library independently, maybe trying version 5.2.122. I recall problems with Debian 4 and RHEL 4 with old tool chains which is why there is a SConstruct.RHEL4. You might have to use scons instead of *Automake *to get there. -- Steve-o
