I hear that ABCL (a pure java Common Lisp implementation) supports CFFI, which is the only Lisp dependency for cl-czmq. I wonder if cl-czmq on ABCL would be useful to you. I did have some success with ABCL and JZMQ a few years ago when writing a bridge for Interactive Brokers forex data feeds. Luke
