For any serious work with ZMQ, you need to dig into ROUTER/DEALER, it ends up much simpler than trying to work with multiple socket flows. Read the Guide, chapter on Request Reply. Dealer doesn't generate an identity, it's like a handle per peer connection the Router generates internally and delivers to the API.
