Hi Mark, I started on a zservice module with a very similar intention. Perhaps you could expand on that? It's still empty. The notion is to abstract away from the implementation: define a service, look for a service, where the actual mechanics aren't part of the API. "zheartbeat" is too low level as a concept IMO.
