According to Janardan Nepal, director of the Department of Education, the scholarships will be provided to Dalits and students coming lower economic group. Speaking at a program in the capital Saturday, Nepal said planning was underway to allocate budget required for the scholarships. �The scholarships are being provided with an aim to facilitate more and more children who have no access to education,� he said, adding, �This will help avail education for all by the year 2015.� Official records indicate that nearly 38 percent children of school-going age still do not go to schools while the number of the students quitting their study has grown significantly as the conflict intensifies in the country. nepalnews.com mbk Feb 27 05
