Gandhi has been made Special Commissioner, Government Data Centre, while Sivakami has been made Commissioner for Disciplinary Proceedings, in Chennai. Orders on their postings were issued last week and both of them had already assumed charge. While Gandhi remained without any posting since December last year, Sivakami was transferred out of the Data Centre a couple of months ago. Gandhi approached the Central Administrative Tribunal challenging his being kept on compulsory wait. He contended that the action of the Government in failing to issue a posting order was vitiated by mala fides. The petition was still pending before the Tribunal, but it could become infructuous. Officials were not available for comment on their new postings.
