Dear Shiva Shankarji, I do not know how can I thank you. You are one of the few great souls among our members. I salute you for your commitment. Please do not worry about arrangements to send money to Br Bant Singh. I am confident that we can do it without any problem. I will take that responsibility. Let us concentrate on getting donations first. Rs. 1,2 lakhs is nothing when one does not have limbs and 9 people to support. He needs life long rehabilitation which should be provided by the Govt. If I am in a position to make the judgment, I will confiscate all the wealth of the perpetuators of this heinous crime and give to Br Bant Singh and punish the culprits in such way that it will not be repeated never in the future. But sadly, the police, the judiciary, the Govt. are not at the side of the victims. So, these things continue to happen with no fear or shame. Anyway, thanks for your contribution and others whom you have inspired to contribute. I would advice thousands of members in these forums to take inspiration from you and do their bit instead of keep silent pretending to be deaf. If each one contribute Rs. 100 or $10, we will be able to help him in a better way. I will update the website with your contribution. Convey my sincere thanks to all those who contributed to Br Bant Singh. Come on friends, contribute. Just talking on electronic forums will not work. Show your acts and concern. This is an opprotunity to show your worth for a great cause like this. Do not be silent. It is crime, if you prodon me to use harsh words. Dear Benjamin, A Rs. 1 lakh fixed deposit does not fetch very much these days. Not much of a "compensation" if you have lost most of your limbs and have a family to support. I suggest we go ahead and collect the money for our Dalit hero as we planned. I can collect money in India, but you will need to decide how to send the money etc. I have 4 contributions already: 1. N.Usha Rani -- Rs.2,500/ 2. Arul Shankar -- Rs.2,500/ 3. Ananth Shankar -- Rs.2,500/ 4. Shiva Shankar -- Rs.2,500/ for a total of Rs.10,000/. Please keep in mind a time frame for this effort. With solidarity to Beant Singh. Shiva Shankar.
