Claiming that they have specific reports of dalits being lured by Christian missionaries for conversion, the VHP today said it will launch a campaign in the state to stop such things.
"We have specific reports that Christian missionaries are doing all efforts to lure the dalit population to persuade people for converting their religion," VHP General Secretray Surinder Jain, who was here on address a workshop of the members of punjab and himachal pradesh, told reporters.
"In the name of Changai Sabha, missionaries are making fool of the people and it has been decided that VHP will not allow to conduct such sabha proposed to be held in the city from February 21 to 23," he said while addressing the workers of the parishad.
Apart from stopping any conversion, VHP would persuade
those, who have already converted their religion to come back to their original religion, Jain, who is also former national president of Bajrang Dal, said.
