All India Ambedkar's People's Party formed
Madurai,Feb. 25. (PTI): The Ambedkar People's Movement, a organisation led by senior dalit leader V Balasundaram, was today converted into a political outfit--All India Ambedkar People's Party (AIAPP)--at a meeting of the Party's office bearers here.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Balasundaram today hit out at the Dalit Panthers of India for joining hands with the PMK and vowed to "defeat and expose" the DPI leader Thirmavalavan.
He alleged that foreign money was playing a major role in the plans and political strategy worked by the DPI,PMK and MDMK but did not elaborate.
Claiming that his party had the backing of 30 lakh dalits, he said his party would join hands with any one who respected and treated them with dignity in the coming elections.
Balasundaram also criticised the "so called secularists who divided the dalits on the basis of religion and caste."
