A counseling programme for the scholars selected for undergoing the MBA
entrance exam coaching was held at the PTPÂ’s Centre, Nagpur, on Sunday, June
10, 2007.

The programme was attended by 23 students currently enrolled for the coaching
programme. Some of them came brought along their friends and relatives.
Therefore, the actual number of people present during the programme was more.

Mr. Jayant Ramteke, who recently graduated from IIM-C and is would be soon
joining IBM at Mumbai, was the Special Guest at the programme. Mr. Sarfaraz
Lakhani Manager-Special Projects, PTP, who had specially flown in from Mumbai
for the programme, Mr Roy Kiriyanthan, Centre Manager, PTP, Nagpur, were
present.

Mr, Atish Khobragade welcomed Mr. Lakhani by presenting him with a floral
bouquet on behalf of Ambedkar Scholarships. Mr. Lakhani then welcomed Mr.
Ramteke and Mr. Roy by presenting them with flower bouquets.

Mr. Naresh Lokhande, representing Ambedkar Scholarships, conducted the
programme. In the beginning, he told the students about the scholarship
programme for the coaching initiative taken by PTP for MBA aspirants coming
from the weaker sections of the SC/ ST/ OBC communities and the role of
Ambedkar Scholarships. He later read out the message sent by the Founder of
Ambedkar Scholarships, Mr. Benjamin Kaila from USA. A recorded message of Ms
Vinaya Khobragade, based in USA was also played. Mr. Lokhande made a brief
presentation on Ambedkar Scholarships to inform them about its mandate,
projects and success stories.

Mr. Lakhani made a presentation on preparing for MBA entrance exam and
motivated the students to work hard for achieving their goals. Mr. Ramteke
shared his experiences and how he prepared for the entrance exam despite his
hectic office and family schedules. He gave the students valuable tips on what
to do when they join the IIMs or any other big B-school and the winning
attitude they should have. Mr. Roy made a very interesting presentation on how
the Common Admission Test (CAT) was changing and the kind of questions the
students can expect at the programme. His presence was very inspiring and
students could see and interact with a live role-model.

The discussions and interactions were so engrossing resulting in the
programme getting extending to an hour beyond the scheduled plan of two hours.
A remarkable feature of the programme was the active participation of the
students. The credit for this also goes to M/s Sarfaraz, Ramteke and Roy who
involved the students and interacted with them. The students freely interacted
with them and asked a lot of questions. The students seemed very upbeat after
attending the programme.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lakhani. Later, refreshments
were served to all.

Ambedkar Scholarships takes pride in being an integral driving part of the
event and wishes to thank the Ms. Vinaya Khobragade, Mr. Sarfaraz Lakhani, PTP,
Mr. Naresh Lokhande and most importantly the students for a 100% turnout. It
