SOUTHERN NEWS - KARNATAKA Jun 21, 2007 Eight hurt in group clash Wednesday June 20 2007 14:43 IST GULBARGA: Eight persons including four policemen were injured in a group clash between dalits and upper castes over a land dispute at Aladala village in Shorapur taluk on Tuesday. According to the police a group of dalits assaulted and ransacked the house of one Guranna Gouda Gugal, belonging to an upper caste on Monday night following alleged suicide of a dalit, Paramanna (45) in the morning. The clash between the groups erupted, when the upper caste people denied to lease their land to SCs as was done earlier. Kembhavi police registered the case.
