3 BSP's Brahmin face in MP Subhash Mishra Lucknow, October 23, 2008 The Uttar Pradesh Medical and Health Minister Anant Kumar Mishra is not only the younger brother of Satish Chand Mishra, who is BSP's most powerful leader after Chief Minister Mayawati. He is seen as "junior Satish Mishra" in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattishgarh states, where he has been assigned to replicate BSP's Brahmin experiment. Anant Kumar Mishra, is extensively touring the two states, addressing the "bhai chara" committees of Brahmins and Dalits to bring them together before the Lok Sabha elections. Anant Mishra with some other Brahmin MLAs and party functionaries has been camping in Bhopal before Mayawati herself starts campaigning in the state. Soon after completing his official work in Lucknow, Anant Mishra would leave for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattishgarh to consolidate the BSP among the upper castes. If Anant Kumar Mishra is for the Brahmins, Badshah Singh is for the Rajputs. Badshah Singh hails from Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh which is adjoining to Madhya Pradesh state also. Madhya Pradesh is been a favourable ground for the BSP for long and the party has a substantial base and following among the SC and the STs. This time the BSP supremo's effort is to woo the upper casts also, on the UP pattern and enhance its tally in the Lok Sabha elections. As the elections are drawing closer, Chief Minister Mayawati is all set to dispatch more upper caste leaders from Uttar Pradesh to win over the upper castes in Madhya Pradesh.
