On th [Mayawati] e 25th foundation day on March 15, Mayawati sacked Satish Chandra Mishra from an important post and relegated him to less important post, raising eyebrows in the political circle inUttar Pradesh. Mayawati also removed Vijay Shankar Pandey and his brother Ajay Shankar Pandey from the Chief Minister's Office. It is speculated that she is all set to sack nearly 150 government lawyers soon. Mayawati is worried about Rahul Gandhi's growing influence among the dalits. She knows that only the Congress can give her a tough fight in Uttar Pradesh, as the party has good hold over the Muslims, Dalits and upper caste people.
