16 Dalit labourers assaulted STAFF WRITER 13:6 HRS IST Muzaffarnagar, Apr 27 (PTI) Atleast 16 Dalit labourers were seriously injured after being allegedly attacked by some men for refusing to work in fields at Jagaheri village, police said today. The incident occurred last evening and the victims were assaulted with sharp-edged weapons and lathis. A case against 18 people has been registered under Scheduled Castes Prevention of Atrocities Act 1987, S P Rajiv Malhotra said, adding the injured have been hospitalised.
