Dear All,

Recently a very wrong tendency is found amongst
some of our non-Muslim brothers to indulge in
Islam-bashing by quoting the Quranic verses which
exhort Muslims to fight their enemies under some
specific circumstances. The whole purpose of these
people always remains to prove that Islam promotes
terrorism and does not tolerate other religions.

Such of our brothers must know that the notion of
'FIGHTING' is inseparable from every religious
philosophy when it comes to a clash between 'virtue'
and 'evil'. However, who is representing 'virtue' and
who is representing 'evil' at a particular time, and
under what circumstances, fighting becomes inevitable,
and keeping away from it itself becomes 'evil' may be
a matter of controversy and debate. Those quoting
quranic verses in this context forget that Lord
Krishna most forcefully exhorted a hesitant Arjun to
fight the 'Kauravs' who at that particular point of
history were regarded an embodiment of 'evil forces'.
I think, the wordings of Lord Krishna as contained in
the Geeta about how fighting becomes a symbol of
righteousness are more vociferous and many more
times repeated.

As a Muslim I regard Lord Krishna as a Messanger
because in Quran it is mentioned that Allah sent down
one lac twenty four thousand messangers during every
period of history and in every part of the world. We
cannot deny the status of prophethood to any religious
head who has appeared before our Prophet.

Therefore, I request all those people who always
seek to project Quran in a disjointed manner to first
realise the significance of every concept in a
coherent manner.
