BANGLADESH: Course on TV news presentation concludes
Female students outnumbered male counterparts at course conducted by
renowned news professionals

A month-long training course on "TV news presentation" organised by
Bangladesh Institute of Journalism and Electronic Media (BIJEM) ended
at the conference room of the institute on Monday.

Additional Secretary and Director General of Department of Social
Services Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury was present at the concluding
ceremony of the course as the chief guest and distributed certificates
among the participants.

He said news presentation is a subject of art and creativity now-a-days.

Through planned training, continuous practice and correct
pronunciation, one can become an expert news presenter.

Eminent Businessman Advocate Shafiq Mahmud Pinto and expatriate writer
Mahmud Reza Chowdhury were present as special guests.

Mirza Tarequl Qader, executive director, BIJEM, presided over the function.

A total of 35 participants, including 30 female students of different
universities, took part in the course conducted by renowned TV news
presenters and journalists and phoneticians.
