Another private TV station in Sri Lanka threatened Sunday, February 22, 2009, 7:02 GMT, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka. Feb 22, Colombo: An armed gang has threatened the personnel at the head office of the Max Television, another private media institute at Nugegoda around 8 pm last night. Police spokesman Senior Superintendent of Police Ranjith Gunasekara said the armed group has forcibly entered the head office of the Max Television station and threatened its staff. "Two of the armed group came into the News Division and search for documents," said Prasanna Kulatunga, Chief Executive Officer of Max Television. Officials of the Max television have lodged a complaint at the Mirihana police in this regard. SSP Gunasekara confirmed that a special investigation had begun on the instructions of the Colombo South DIG.
