Magnum Opus
Dully I stare,
Willing the words to shape themselves.
To appear on these squiggle covered pages
And translate all that grows within me...
Into short quixotic bursts of art;
If only,
writing were so easy.
But my greatness awaits,
An unrealized sleeping fire
that will someday
Consume me and
all my little moments staring
at squiggle covered pages.
And transform nascent thought
into Homeric visions of beauty.
This piece is possibly the best autobio i could give because the desire to be a writer is one of the driving forces in my barely adult life.
