Bitching
These days I live like a bitch, on the streets of Calcutta. If I get fucked at mid-noon 'midst the mocking flies, by the meat stall in New Market, I don't give a bloody damn. Shame is a middleclass malaise. I feel lucky if by the end of the day, I can crawl beneath some sack cover, curl in the hook of the broken body of a dreamy-eyed immigrant, and snatch a full night's sleep, without some insomniac policeman deciding to rid the pavement of human and dog excrement.
