Hi there Subuhi,

Sorry for writing in so late and the reason for
writing to you directly is, I do not believe in
posting up lengthy non-poetic posts on a board that is
basically meant for poetry.

I really, really do appreciate your felt feedback.
Sincerely and honestly speaking, this was something I
wrote a bit back and thereafter couldn't get time to
tighten and edit. In fact, I do not belong to the
metre (constructing poetry) school at all, I write
poetry because it is a much-needed release to me,
because writing poetry makes this mad world in which I
live seem a bit more saner when I have "done away"
with the voices in my head.

I have been called someone who's writing is very
visual (prose, poetry or copy) and that's a
characteristic feature of my writing, sort of
ingrained in me. That's the basic reason behind the
imagery when i link up memories, graveyards, bats and
lizards. The overall idea then was to try and do
justice to the desolateness I had in my mind. Whew, I
would rather stop here, I have always believed in the
saying "poetry is what is lost in translation" and
extend that a bit and you would agree when I say
"poetry is also what is lost in explanation".

Once again, thanks a lot for your honest and felt
feedback and do share some of your poetry on the
board. Metre-illiterate that I am, I may not "crit"
your poetry but if it touches the core of my being in
any way, I would feel you have made my day.

Rgds, thanks and do good poetically,

Anand
