We are in agreement here, Vivek. It�s not about choice. It�s about a confluence. Since Anand�s metric illiteracy has been exposed, let mine be laid bare too. The �felt� reaction came because all this very detailed talk of form was beginning to feel overwhelming. You are not formal fascists. But I am not capable, as of May 14, 2005, 7.06pm, to dissect poems so very closely. Yet, the project to learn that very skill has begun.

Ejaculate or womancome drip,
collect shapelessly.
Water in a jug is contained,
still, until it�s poured out.
And when spilled, it flows
instinctively to the drain.
Form is the jug�s rigidity.
Ejaculate is splattered feeling.
Poetry is in the spilling.
