About the Jeremy Prynne,
There's a little stuff of his around on the net. My favourite of his
that I have read so far is an extraordinary text called the "Plant Time
Manifold", which is a fusion of the language of scientific (biological)
journals into lyric poetry. But it's far too long to type up; can show
it physically to anyone who's interested.
In the mean time, I found this quote from a well-known formalist; strict
forms are easier to compose in your head:
In fact, writing -- more exactly, composing in your head -- formal poetry may
be recommended in solitary confinement as a kind of therapy, alongside pushups
and cold ablutions.
