Dear ZESTPoets members, Yes, yes, happy birthday and all that. I could not access the internet for two days and fell handicapped enough to be depressed!
Now as you know this is a moderated list. Which means that when you post a message, it lies in a basket waiting to be "approved" before it is unleashed into your mailboxes. So I could not "approve" messages for two days. Juhi and Monica are the two other moderators who can "approve" messages but they are busy enough to have applied for voluntary retirement. Anyway, so here's the birthday gift to all of you: from now on, only posts from "new members" will have to be approved. This means that if you post a message, it will come to me for approval, but the next message you post will go automatically. This means that new members who join with the intention of transferring a million dollars into your bank account or offering you data entry jobs, will know that poets take themselves seriously. Now a request: please try to make postings, so far as possible, in plaintext. I understand some of of might prefer html for formatting poems in the way they appear on your printout. So this is being left to you. Just that html postings often don't appear in the 'daily digests'. A word of thank you to those few who have sent in poems on the theme of 'one'. The rest are welcome to continue their efforts: we won't be two until next year! Moreover, I was particularly looking forward to a poem on the triviality of birthdays and anniversaries! Thank you Jane for keeping Loquations alive and organising a special meet to read poems posted here by ZESTPoets members. Those of you who are in Mumbai may want to attend.
