Dear Mr (am assuming) Suri I am quite taken aback by your mail.
First coz i have never heard of you, r u a delhi blogger or a zest poet. Whichever it is, i find it interesting that you have been quietly reading all the mails on the mailing list and never respond, or putting it in better terms, never added your expert comments to any of the mails. and now suddenly you reacted to the present one by a personal mail instead of posting it on the mailing list. I am sure you have your own reasons for doing that and would like to know the reasons. I can't remember when did I criticize Ravi's poem or translation. I highly admire his work or whatever he prefers to call it. What I actually meant was that I liked the hindi poem he (Ravi) wrote on that day's mailing list but the way he compared the meaningful and soulful lines to somthing like 2 minuites noodles and tandoori was pretentious. I believe he did it only to be witty but in hearts of heart he sure understands the depth of the lines...at least that's what i am assuming...i mean i cant possibly know what exactly he thinks... Am sorry that am putting this reply on the mailing list of zestpoets but i have my reasons a)coz i'd like to keep the community spirit alive and b) so that Ravi is aware of this conversation. Nice meeting you Mr.Suri thanks Sanjukta P.S. Am sorry about the spelling mistake but cant promise to never do it again. --- M Suri <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, Sanjukta. > > Your critique of ravi's poem/translation (below) was > quite nice.
