Just on the right side of being too rich for the palette,
You’re Calliope, my goddess, muse 
on Mount Olympus,
Consort fit for Zeus.
 
You’re my Venus de Milo,
Botticelli painted your frothy rise from the sea.
You’re my surasundari, my apsara.
 
Jealously I guard
Your dulcet charms, 
brilliant wit,
Veil the sun, moon, 
lights of the night’s canopy of planets, nebulae, streaking comets that emblazon your name across millennia,
Lest the world know and engulf you in adoration 
and love;
lest I lose you.
