i have cited the reason as to why i chose to send the poem as an attachment in my previous mail. its just that I love my poem and do not want the readers to loose out on the experience of reading a good poem. if such a long poem is sent as a part of the main email most often people end up reading parts of it which i dont want to happen, and as you have yourself suggested many a times the mail gets truncated and the readers miss important parts of the poem. other than these there are no other reasons, and I request all the zestians not to hesitate to open my attachment as hacking someones id or implanting a virus is the last thing i would be doing; and i dont think ppl will think of me as a 'remote source' as i am a regular contributor. anyways lol at least now you can open my attachment and read it!

Attachments are useful when the amount of text is too large to make it viable as am email. (Some very long emails get truncated, as I found when I sent myself some poems I had written abroad!)
 
Just a suggestion as I routinely delete attachments from unknown sources. Having been hacked twice and my id used to fool others into thinking an email supposed to be from me was legit, I think it is wiser.
