money math math falling short fear. my sheets are soft
they let me sink i try to hold my palm myself i
recognise the wooden shapes long upon my wall.
'he's too high the seated man' i bring him down,
gently dust his surround ( what 'gentle'? my fingers
are clumsy on the lattice in a quiet corner, they poke
out dust they let it be. i put him up again in vision
of my eye.
you saw this long ago the felt repose inside the frame
you understood it. you knew strain before me
( i see the picture you gave me)
