BUYING FISH You drive to the Marina .For sea-fish. As that which gets net tangled and dumped. Not the launch load. And get carried away by the sheen on the scales that can be just scraped off with nails and tips of fingers and rubbed like make up on the one o'clock dead hidden in a basket. To be carried away by the glimmer of sunlight you turn the upper side of the palm and feel the temperature one ice two ice three even displayed on the old spice wooden box. Going home I recall the man riding a bicycle on par with the our rear view mirror overtaking us at traffic signals the same old spice box.. Is he not clever ,this man bringing fish from the interior of the city to display it with a rub of sand with the back drop of the sea, the waves, the heaps of net, not to forget the fatigued fishermen. And the cackle of their women?
