[ZESTPoets] life after the killer quake

a thought flickers, 
tries to escape 
the contours of the mind
it
stays behind
unspoken,unwritten
i grope for words 
to unwind my
cells
what is the thought
that i try to find?

wandering in the
wild
seascapes, rising ball of sun
the shell beneath my toes
palms
whisper a song
on the lonely red shore
a gulls far cry echoing
the
song we sang before.

deserted paths broken homes
a tireless being
gropes 
for humanity alive
amongst the debris
i look for the lost
child
the doll house that she left behind
clouds and thunder

plunder
the shriek which fails
helpless sorrow and wails
against
our lord divine.


lets play the gardners game
dig with hands,
sticks, stones
making holes in the ground
not for jasmines or
dafodills
but for my parents burial 
planting my father with love 

which will bloom one day.

tree of life 
did not survive
who
killed it with stones
uprooted the roots
lifeless, still
like the
earth moot
filled with ashes and soot
