If I don't assume I am a river I am on the shore

God passes through every pearl like the thread
through the hole ,so you say. I accept. that
for I know that in my poetry I don't talk about
the lotus alone but also the drainage and
the sand dune like Kolatkar.
My prayer are my own, self made quizzes, like
searching for meaning in a language
I ask who are you, who am I , where do I come from
and where will I go to, but these questions are not
time bound. Random meditations. Erratic and sometimes urgent.
In my teens I had no fantasies, I was busy reading philosophy
My friends metamorphosed into Meera, Radha, Sivakami or Lakshmi,
so permissible in our religion, the choice of the Ista devatha
I was busy with the Surangama Sutra ,Augustine and Aquinas, or
the Dhammapada, deep thinking about the worlds greatest thinkers.
Ultimately I am a salt doll ,so how can I fathom the sea?
Let us say I have caught the ray of poetry, hoping to reach spirituality..
