MY DAUGHTER SPEAKS TO ME By now I have learnt to place the wavelength of her words on planes. The brusque tone that states an aphorism. `'You are a waster ,ma, tagging along with a bunch of cronies, mediocre rhyme- makers, no imagination, no ambition no dreams.'
The other more companionable ,friendly analytical tone, that asks `when did you stop making dreams, ma? The difference between us is you are so prosaic, I am poetic, because I am what I want to be, I don't live out other people's poetry, or search for writers' clues. Close up all those books, free yourself from the net and breathe. The trouble with you ma, is ,'you don't feel, enough. you don't feel for yourself, you are a vegetable cut off from the life giving shrub.
