what can one say about miracles?

Quake thoughts

deserted paths broken homes
a tireless being gropes
for humanity alive
amongst the debris
i look for the lost child
the doll house  left behind
clouds and thunder
plunder
the shriek which fails
helpless sorrow and wails
against our lord divine.

lets play the gardners game
dig with hands, sticks, stones
making holes in the ground
not for jasmines or dafodills
but for my parents burial
planting my father with love
which will bloom one day.

tree of life
did not survive
who killed it with stones
uprooted the roots
lifeless, still
the earth is moot
filled with ashes and soot
yet
a woman rises from her womb.
