But in the end this would leave us which too few cpu cycles for the database backend. Some of the queries are rather complex and fairly cpu intensive (completly saturating a v440 box cpu-wise). I'd say going x4600 plus attached storage will probably suit us more, especially when the number of users on the warehouse does increase.
