#2 is the key for me. And I also have a #3: FC has been around a long time now. The HBAs and Switches are (more or less :-) debugged and we know how things work... iSCSI - well, perhaps. But to me that feels like it gets "too far away" from the hardware. I'd like to keep the "distance" between the disks and ZFS as short as possible.
