Your pools have no redundancy... > root <at> omases11:~[8]#zpool import private > > panic[cpu3]/thread=fffffe8001223c80: ZFS: bad checksum ...and got corrupted, therefore there is nothing ZFS can do. This is precisely why best practices recommend pools to be configured with some level of redundancy (mirror, raidz, etc).
