I don't know the answer to your question, but I am running the same version of OS you are, and this bug could affect us. Do you have any link to any documentation about this bug? I'd like to forward something to inform the other admins at work.

What I am asking is would there be any way to recover the space in the filesystem without having to destroy and recreate it?
