We currently have a opensolaris box running as a backup server, and to increase the redundancy I have started coping this to another server with 4 x 2TB in raidz and dedup. This was going fine taking about 10 hours to zfs send and receive each 70GB snaphot (no ZIL or cache setup), but on the last snapshot of the second file system the copy didn't complete (probably user error, I may have interrupted it). I had about 1.26TB of the 7.25 TB pool used and a dedup of about 2.60x. No problem I thought I will just rollback the snapshot and try again. That was now 6 days ago (I did reboot after 2 days, due to no ping response). Anyone like to hazard a guess to when this will finish?
I am running 134, is this issue/bug important enough to be fixed in a near future, or do I need to buy a bigger server and no use dedup? My main backup server is currently using 8TB of its 15.5TB but not using dedup. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ zfs-discuss mailing list zfs-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/zfs-discuss
